Noooooooooo…
Dear Edward, Thank you so much for all the inspiration you have given me and thousands of other guitar players and musicians around the world.
You were truly one of a kind and such a nice and humble guy. In 1990 when Billy White (my partner in crime in the Don Dokken band) and I got invited to your studio 5150, that was an experience that I will never forget. I got to play your red and white striped Kramer Baretta guitar which was very exciting and then you played parts of the solo in “Eruption” (loud!) which was so cool! You said that ”it wasn’t that good” because you weren’t warmed up yet, but we thought it sounded great! Because you always had that special touch, tone and feel that made you unique and special.
Thank you for all the great music and my thoughts and prayers goes out to your family at this difficult time. RIP, Eddie. /John
